This week's Good Facility is a two-way cycleway, running parallel to a minor road, passing under a major junction near the Dutch town of Naaldwijk.
As usual for a Dutch cycleway, the path is wide and smooth - but the most important detail here is how the cycleway remains at a much higher level than the minor road as it passes under the major road. There isn't any need for it to go lower than the height of a human being, unlike the road, and so... it doesn't! This means much less effort is required to negotiate this underpass than would be required cycling on the road - the cycleway only dips up and down a relatively small amount. Minor details like this matter a great deal.
