It may not look like it, but this week's Good Facility is actually a roundabout - one in the city of Delft. This roundabout - just visible to the left of the photohraph has bi-directional cycleways, with priority, all the way around the perimeter, allowing people to negotiate it with ease in the shortest possible direction.
There are zebra crossings for pedestrians too, giving them priority across the cycleways and across the road arms. This roundabout also has a priority bus/tram corridor running through the middle of it, and is planted with trees and shrubbery, to insulate people cycling from the weather, and from motor traffic.
