Good Cycling Facility of the Week: 14th September 2017

This week's Good Facility is a mundane side road crossing in the Dutch city of Utrecht.

The cycleway (and footway) have clear visual priority across this side road, continuing without interruption, making it clear to the few drivers who will be turning into this access road exactly who has priority. 

The cycleway and footway are also on a hump, which slows motor traffic crossing both.

Note also the clear separation from the road - a large verge and parking, providing a high degree of subjective safety.
