Good Cycling Facility of the Week: 26th June 2014

Cycle paths don't have to be narrow, as this example in the city of Utrecht demonstrates - wide enough to accommodate the thousands of people using it every day. 

Recently widened and resurfaced, this path runs from de Uithof, the university campus outside Utrecht, into the city centre, meaning it is very busy. The path has been upgraded to keep pace with demand. Street lighting has also been added to improve social safety
