Do you know how the shops and apartments on the side with the road deal with deliveries? That would be a major objection from anyone trying to do this in the UK.

Firstly, no lorries are allowed on this street, which makes it a little easier to negotiate.
Also, if you look at Streetview, you can see that it is just about wide enough for one vehicle to squeeze past another parked one. There are also parking bays a little further along the street (you can just about see them in the photograph!).
