This week's Good Cycling Facility is perhaps the ultimate Dutch cycleway - a wide cycle path running directly through the Dutch national museum, the Rijksmuseum.
This path reopened to cycle traffic in 2013 after a ten year restoration of the museum - and there was, amazingly enough, a struggle by Amsterdammers to retain it. It is an established feature of the building and as well as being distinctive is an important route for people cycling in the city that is not available to motor traffic.
You can read more about this path and its history on the BicycleDutch blog.
