Good Cycling Facility of the Week: 7th May 2020

This week's Good Cycling Facility is the temporary closure to motor traffic of Old Ford Road in the London borough of Tower Hamlets, supplied courtesy of Hackney Cyclist.

The intention is to provide space for social distancing in response to Coronavirus, creating more roadspace for people walking and cycling to exercise, and to travel, without coming into close proximity with each other.

Access to properties at either end of the road is still possible for motor traffic, but closing it as a through route will greatly reduce traffic volume and make it far easier to walk and cycle while keeping apart from other people.
