Good Cycling Facility of the Week: 6th November 2014

This is a major bridge over the Maas-Waalkanal in Nijmegen, carrying the N236 road (the equivalent of a UK trunk road). 

But it is very easy, safe and comfortable to cycle here, thanks to a wide bi-directional cycle track - comfortable enough to hold hands.  

Not a special cycling bridge - just an ordinary bridge, that has cycling designed into it.

(There is no footway here, but the path is wide enough to be shared quite happily with pedestrians, as you can see in the Streetview link)
