This week's Good Facility is a main cycle route in the Dutch city of Zwolle, pictured as it passes under the city's southern bypass - a large four lane road.
The bypass crosses the cycleway - and separate footway - on a bridge, meaning anyone walking and cycling does not have to deal with the road at all. No delay, and no danger. There is also a substantial noise barrier, meaning that the environment away from the road is quiet and peaceful.
This particular route connects directly with the city centre - less than a mile, and only about five minutes by cycling (including another underpass another the railway line). The driving route - around the bypass - is substantially longer.
