This week's Good Facility (photograph courtesy of Hackney Cyclist) is a combination of a bridge only open to walking and cycling, and a two-way cycleway on a street in Amsterdam.
The bridge leads in and out of the city centre via the Vondelpark, a direct route not available to motor traffic.
Parking has been reduced on the street to allow the creation of the two-way cycleway, as can be seen on Streetview. The street is a good example of how space can be created for cycling infrastructure by restricting motor traffic to one-way flow, which also helps to reduce the amount of motor traffic in these kinds of residential areas.
