This week's Good Facility is a protected cycleway on St Jacobstraat in the city centre of Utrecht.
This street was remodelled in 2014-15 - the amout of space allocated to motor traffic was substantially reduced, from 3-4 lanes, down to just two. This allowed wider footways and cycleways to be constructed, replacing the former (slightly narrow) cycleways.
The junctions have also been improved, with continuous footways, raised ramps, and clear priority for cycling. The location in this photograph is itself a junction, even if it is not immediately obvious from the photograph!
