This week's Good Cycling Facility is an example of a cycle lane being maintained - with some degree of physical protection - during construction work, in central London.
A construction site beside Lambeth Palace Road has spilled out onto the footway and the road. To account for this the cycle lane has been protected with flexible wands, and moved out around the construction site. The central hatching has been removed, and both cycle lanes have been protected with the wands.
This is an actually an example of a paint-only cycle lane being *improved* during construction work!
