This week's Good Cycling Facility is an award-winning bridge right in the centre of the Dutch city of Leiden.
The Catharinabrug is made of concrete, and has an attractive shallow profile. It is very wide, being on an important desire line across the city centre, and replaced a narrower bridge.
There is no separation between walking and cycling, but the generous width of the bridge - combined with the nature of the city centre - means that conflict between the two modes is negligible.
