This week's Good Facility is a cycle path under a turbo roundabout on the outskirts of the Dutch town of Zoetermeer.
Turbo roundabouts (roundabouts with fixed lanes on entry and exit, and through the roundabout) are designed for efficient flow of large numbers of motor vehicles. They are not places anyone should be cycling. The best way of dealing with these roundabouts - as with this example - is with underpasses, which allow people to bypass the roundabout in complete safety. Here some children are completely oblivious to the large lorry that is turning off the roundabout above them.
This cycle path also comes with its own street lighting, and it (and the surrounding houses) are insulated from the roundabout by a glass noise barrier.
