This week's Good Cycling Facility is an underpass, or 'underbridge', on the Rijnwaalpad cycle route between Nijmegen and Arnhem.
At this point, the cycle path runs under a road which is on an embankment, as it crosses a motorway. This kind of design maintains continuity for cycling (without any loss of momentum) and also maintains a level surface for cycling. The underpass is wide, and open, with good visibility, and lighting built into the tunnel roof.

A very good example of Cycle route design and construction.
