This week's Good Cycling Facilty is a combination of cycle path and cycle street, running between the cities of Delft and The Hague in the Netherlands.
In the foreground of this photo is a section of cycle path, on which motor traffic is prohibited. In the background is a cycle street, which allows motor traffic, but is a dead end for these vehicles.
The result is a smooth direct route for cycle traffic, made up of a combination of infrastructure, but a dead-end access street for motor traffic. The street is quiet and peaceful as a result.
It's also worth noting that the equivalent arrangement runs in parallel on the other side of the canal, alongside a tram route!
