Good Cycling Facility of the Week: 21st September 2017

This week's Good Facility is a bi-directional cycleway just to the north side of Rotterdam Centraal station.

As can be seen from the Streetview link, this road previously only had painted cycle lanes on it. With the large reconstruction of the station and surrounding area, however, this street has been upgraded, with new mature trees and the wide, protected bi-directional cycleway shown in the photograph, which connects directly with the station, and with a tunnel through to the south side running under the platforms.

All part of the continuous system of improvement in the Netherlands!
