Good Cycling Facility of the Week: 18th January 2018

This week's Good Facility is a bi-directional cycleway that connects to a primary school in Kloosterveen, a new-build suburb in the Dutch city of Assen.

This cycleway goes directly to the entrance of the school, and is part of a network in the suburb, entirely separate from the road network, meaning young children can cycle to school in complete safety. (These paths also form the most direct links from surrounding residential areas).

The cycleway has a separate footway, and its own dedicated street lighting.
