This week's Good Cycling Facility is a wide bi-directional cycleway on Croeselaan in Utrecht.
As you can read on the BicycleDutch blog, this cycleway - although of the usual high standard - is only a small part of the story here, as the street has been extensively redesigned. A very wide 1970s four lane road has been replaced with trees, a linear park and wide cycleways and footways. The road itself is only a dead-end for motor traffic.
The cycleway itself will be sheltered by the new trees, and has its own dedicated street lighting.
