This week's Good Cycling Facility is the underground cycle parking garage at Rotterdam Centraal station in the Netherlands.
This facility has over 5,000 cycle parking spaces, making it the largest facility in the Netherlands at the time of opening (2013), although it has since been overtaken by the cycling parking at Utrecht Centraal.
It is easily accessible from the street, via a series of sloping, cycle-friendly travelators. Each cycle parking spot has a sensor, which means that abandoned bikes can quickly be detected. It also allows signs to indicate the number of free spaces in each row (as shown in the above photograph).
You can read more about this parking facility on the Bicycle Dutch blog.
