This week's Good Facility is a standard cycleway alongside a main road, in the Dutch city of Delft.
The cycleway is positioned between car parking and the footway, reducing danger and making it a more attractive cycling environment than an equivalent cycleway sandwiched between car parking and the road.
The cycleway is composed of smooth red asphalt which runs continuously across side roads - the two gentlemen in the picture are in fact cycling across a side road! Drivers have to drive up and over this cycleway to enter the main road, and exit it into the side road.
Finally the car parking is interspersed with planted trees, to provide shelter from the elements - be it rain, or sun.
