This week's Good Cycling Facility - courtesy of Matt Danish - is a cycle street or fietsstraat in the Dutch city of Utrecht.
These streets are designed to operate as main cycling routes, with limited amounts of motor traffic. This particular street is possibly one of the busiest cycle streets in the Netherlands, with over 10,000 cycles per day on a typical weekday.
The street is designed with smooth red asphalt (to indicate a cycle route) and with a wide, rough brick central median.
