This week's Good Facility is a cycle street along the Amsterdam-Utrecht canal, near Utrecht. Motor vehicles can use this street, but are prevented from using it as a through-route - it is available simply as an access point for properties along the canal.
The cycle street is composed of red tarmac in the centre, with brick overrun areas at the side - this gives visual priority to cycling, in the middle of the street.
On the right is Maarssen railway station, which naturally is easily accessible from this cycle street, with cycle parking right at the entrance.
