This week's Good Facility of the Week is the bi-directional cycleway running along Marston Ferry Road in Oxford.
This wide cycleway is separated from the road by a verge, and has a separate footway for pedestrians. The cycleway has good, clear priority over the minor junctions along the road, and also connects well with other elements of the cycle network in this area of Oxford.
The cycleway was built at the same time as Marston Ferry Road in the early 1970s - it was an integral part of the design. You can read about the history in this Carlton Reid post, and there's more detail on the Alternative Department for Transport blog.
