Good Cycling Facility of the Week: 11th April 2019

This week's Good Cycling Facility is a bi-directional cycleway crossing the exit road of a residential area, with priority, in the Dutch town of Hoek van Holland.

Drivers have to negotiate a ramp to cross the cycleway (and footway) to join the road, and priority is clear for the cycleway. An equally important detail is that there is a waiting area for motor traffic to pause before entering the main road, without obstructing the cycleway - as is the case in the photograph.
