This page has some horrific pictures from Hackney showing awful streetscenes, run down roads, basically a mess everywhere. There are also a few examples of how to do it properly.
Which makes me wonder what has happened to traffic engineers? Are they happy? Do they actually ever do anything right cheaply?
I know it is a long time ago, but wonder if it is still true, I remember there were a lot of freemasons in Borough engineering sections!
