This year it will be held on 24th June 2011 at BRLSI on Queen Square.

The Summit runs from 9.30am -1.30pm. As usual it will be chaired by Don Foster MP. The keynote speaker is Ben Plowden, Director for Cycling, Transport for London. There will also be an update from B&NES on progress in the last year.

Discussion group themes are likely to include:

  • Local Transport Plan and Local Sustainable Transport Fund
  • Becoming a Cycle Friendly Employer
  • Cycle Parking
  • Two Tunnels
  • Future Vision for Bath
  • Encouraging people to cycle

There will be optional ride at 9am from Bath Spa railway station to Queen Square. The aim is to illustrate the difficulties of getting around Bath by bike, and to visit sites where improvements have been made or are planned.
