2012 AGM & Policy Bash - Bristol & Bath

The Cycling Embassy of Great Britain is very pleased to announce our first AGM and second Policy Bash in Bristol & Bath over the weekend 26th/27th May with 'Infrastructure Safaris' of both cities.

The Saturday will kick off with a Safari around Bath examining with novice and expert alike the good, the bad and the ugly of cycle infrastructure. This will be followed by a very leisurely ride along the 13 mile Bristol – Bath railway path with frequent stops for photos and discussion to the AGM in Bristol on the afternoon which will be held at the YHA in the heart of the city (14 Narrow Quay, Bristol, BS1 4QA).

At the AGM, we’ll be appointing a new Press/Communications Officer. Further details are up on the Situations Vacant page. If you have experience of such a critical role and feel that you’d like to make a valuable contribution to the work of the Embassy, we look forward to hearing from you.

Our second Policy Bash shall be on the Sunday following up all the excellent work from the previous one held in London last January and to get fresh views from Western eyes. There will be further Safaris for the nerd in all of us that can’t get enough Infrastructure chat and fresh air. The evenings will be in a hostelry where there will be a chance to relax further.

A schedule has gone up on the calendar and further clarfication of Safari routes/pub venues etc will be confirmed shortly. Obviously all are welcome and we sincerely hope to see you there for all or bits of it and to help us shape the destiny of the Cycling Embassy of Great Britain.
