As has been announced via CTC and twitter, the DfT has announced a new traffic sign policy paper http://assets.dft.gov.uk/publications/signing-the-way/signing-the-way.pdf – I’m mainly adding this here so I don’t lose track of it once it scrolls off the bottom of my twitter feed.
First (very cursory) glance suggests lots to welcome in the way of allowing more experimentation in local signage and the more widespread use of ‘except cycles’ signs – but I’m sure that those wiser and more experienced than I will be able to fillet out the wheat from the chaff
