This week's Good Facility is an example of cycle provision being maintained through a construction site, in the Dutch city of Delft.
This area near the city centre is undergoing extensive change, with a major railway line which was formerly on a viaduct being buried underground. Through this building work, cycle routes have been maintained along and across the building site, as in this example.
The crossing of the road has been maintained, and cycling has priority, alongside a zebra crossing for peopel on foot. This is one of several crossings cycle routes across this building site in Delft, ensuring that cycling remains a safe and attractive option, even while construction is taking place.
